Whatup Reader!

Another month has flown by and we still out here losing rights by the day, but at least we’re headed towards summer and it’s beach volleyball season 🤷🏽‍♂️.

If you’re new here, I send these recap emails out on the last day of each month as a way to share the things that this awesome community has told me they’ve found helpful, and also to let you in on things that are coming your way in the next few months. I know you’re busy and I realize I put out a lot of content in a bunch of different places, so if you’re ever worried about missing anything, rest assured that the monthly recap will have all the important stuff in it.

From the ‘Gram:

Got a bit inspired to hop on the ‘Gram and yap, so that’s what I did. As always, tapping any image will take you to the full post.

From the online biz podcast, Maestro on the Mic:

New episodes of Maestro on the Mic drop every Monday. Tune in wherever you listen to your pods. Tap the links below to listen to any of last month’s episodes or click the thumbnails to watch on YouTube and see just how animated I am when I speak ;-)

PS – How dope are these thumbnail images?! Shoutout to @docjoeo for crushing it.

From the AI podcast, Prompting Curiosity::

New episode drops every Thursday. Tune in wherever you listen to your pods, and if you prefer eyeballs to earbuds, check out the blog,The Curious Companion. Tap the links below to listen to any of last month’s episode.

From the Business:

  • Just wrapped up Round 3 of Press Publish with a super dope crew and welcomed 4 new podcasts into the world. If you’re wanting to start your podcast and know you won’t do the thing unless you put your money where your mouth is and have someone holding your hand, get on the waitlist for Round 4, coming this fall to a screen near you.
  • Fam! I been putting out feelers about running an “advanced” AI training workshop on how to use Claude Code to vibe code personal web apps and tools, and I’m on the fence with the numbers. I just want to throw out there that if you’re at all interested in experimenting with AI, now is the cheapest time to do it. I don’t say this with any kind of gross urgency or scarcity, just objective truth. We’re absolutely going to start feeling the financial squeeze as these companies start tightening their belts, so consider learning and exploring while it still only costs $20/month. If you’d be interested in a small group training that introduces you to vibe coding, CLICK HERE to let me know (you’ll automatically be added to the interest list, but no obligation to register).

From our TV:

Running Point, anyone? Who doesn’t love Kate Hudson. Lex and I finished Paradise (liked it, didn’t love it) and moved on to Running Point on Lex's suggestion. 10/10 recommend. For those of you in the mood for a little nostalgia, American Gladiators is back, and my girl Dr. Ayonna Procter, is one of the contenders!!! Watchu been watching? Lemme know!

From the Community:

Don’t forget that if you’re looking for ways to help out in your community, call your local food bank and see what they need donated and/or need help with. Just because things aren’t in the headlines anymore doesn’t mean that the problems don’t exist anymore.

Alrighty, that’s it for April. Bring on May!

Puhlease feel free to hit me back and let me know if you have any podcast episode requests, IG post ideas, or suggestions for new workshops/courses/services. I promise I read every single response.

Maestro out.

Read time: 3 min 21 sec Whatup Reader! So I went to the dentist last week. I had scheduled the typical four-month cleaning but I didn't realize that it was also time for the annual X-ray session. I got to the front desk and the receptionist greeted me, handed me the normal sign-in forms, and said, "We’ve got you down for a cleaning today and X-rays." I honestly had no idea that X-rays were going to be a thing, so I asked if we could forego them this time and just get a cleaning. When it comes...

Read time: 4 min 19 sec Whatup Reader! Last week I ordered a hip ab and adduction machine from Temu. My guess is that you just read that sentence and thought the same thing as the majority of folks on Instagram who messaged me after I shared about my online expense: I'm shook. A little backstory: I have loved the hip ab/adductor machine forever. Call it what you want: good girl-bad girl machine, in-out machine, no matter the name, my love for it has remained the same. Unfortunately, said...
